All workshops below will take place at Dawn's studio in Birchington, Kent
All workshops will have a maximum of 4 students. Prices include inks, cartridge paper and cleaning up materials. A range of materials and paper will also be available to purchase.

Solar Plate Etching Workshops
A Solar plate is a steel plate that has been coated with a light sensitive polymer resin. These plates are exposed to UV light either using sunlight or an alternative artificial source. They can be used in a variety of ways, using diverse sources of imagery (from photographs printed on to acetate, hand drawn images and natural materials). The plates, once exposed, are washed out in water and can be used to print either intaglio or relief.
Dawn has been experimenting with solar plates for a number of years and uses a variety of techniques in her work.
Sat 14th April 10.30am - 4.30pm (only 1 place left)
Students will make 4 plates (each 10x15cm) using single and double exposure techniques. Students will learn a variety of inking and wiping techniques and will each produce a number of prints.
Suitable for beginners and those with some experience
Price includes 4 10x15cm solar plates and other materials as above

Aimed at those who have already attended a beginners workshop and would like to develop their ideas or learn more advanced techniques.
Price includes 4 10x15cm solar plates and other materials as above. Any students wishing to use larger plates can bring these with them or pre-order from Dawn (14 days notice is needed for this)
£50 per person

An introduction to a variety of printmaking techniques
Try monoprint, drypoint and collagraph techniques. Learn a variety of inking and wiping techniques.
